Pixie Lott is Victoria Louise Lott’s stage name. She is a very famous singer, actress and lyricist of Britain. ‘Boys and Girls’, ‘Turn It Up’, ‘Young Foolish Happy’, ‘Nasty’ and ‘All About Tonight’ are some of her famous singles and albums that secured a place in the singles charts of the UK. She was also seen as the guest judge in the seven seasons of British reality show, ‘The X Factor’. Pixie was also nominated under different categories at the BRIT Awards, one of the famous awards of Britain. ‘Crazy Cats Tour’ was her debut concert which entertained more than 50,000 music lovers. Cosmopolitan magazine has also honored her with the title of ‘Woman of the year’ in 2009.

Childhood and early life

Pixie Lott was born on 12 January, in Bromley, London in 1991. She was raised in Bickley and Petts Wood with her sister and brother.

The name Pixie was given by her mother to her because she was very cute and beautiful when she was young. She became the chair member when she was in primary school.

At the age of five, she went to the Italia Conti Associates Saturday School in Chislehurst. But her regular schooling only started when she was 11 years old. She was brilliant in her studies and was also awarded the scholarship.

Soon her interest was increased towards acting and theatre art. She played a role in the stage musical ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ when she moved to Brentwood, Essex with her family.

After that, she was seen as Louisa Von Trapp in the musical ‘The Sound of Music’. At the age of 14, she got a chance to sing for the professional group.

She graduated from Brentwood Country High School in February 2010. After her graduation, she started traveling for concerts and tours.

Career

Pixie had started her career in singing very early in her life. But her breakthrough came when she was auditioned by L.A Reid, a famous lyricist and music executive. When she was 15, she went for the contract with ‘The Island Def Jam Music Group’.

After that, Pixie started as a lyricist. She wrote a song for her album ‘Turn It Up’. The album was produced by Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

Apart from writing a song for her albums, she also started writing a song for other artists also. She had written a track ‘You Broke My Heart’ which was from the album ‘Overcome’. It was the debut album of Alexandra Burke. She also wrote a song for the band ‘Girls Can’t Catch’.

Pixie released her first single ‘Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) on 8 June 2009. And soon she also released the video of Single. It got a top position at the UK singles chart.

Single soon got success internationally. It was also listed in the top 10 various music charts in Denmark and France. It got a silver record by the British Phonographic Industry.

After that, she released ‘Boys and Girls’. This single also ranked a number one position in the singles list of the UK. 

Pixie released her debut album, ‘Turn It Up’ on 14 September 2009. Her singles were ‘Cry Me Out’, ‘Broken Arrow’, ‘Kiss the Stars’ and ‘Gravity’.

As her popularity, she was cast for the film ‘Fred: The Movie’ in 2010. She also appeared as the celebrity judge for the seven seasons of ‘The X Factor’.

She released the reprised version of her debut album ‘Turn It Up Louder’ at the end of 2010.

Personal Life

Pixie had a relationship with an English model, Oliver Cheshire in 2014. They got engaged in November 2016. She is a philanthropist and works for many charitable initiatives in London.
