Zac Efron is one of the famous Hollywood heartthrobs who was the first to raise the fame through the Disney’s ‘High school Musical’ films. Efron was born in 1987 in California. He first appeared in the television series ‘Firefly’. In 2005, Efron got a lead role in the Disney Channel film ‘High School Musical’. The film was a massive hit and spawned two sequels.
He also appeared in Hairspray (2007), 17 Again (2009), and The Lorax (2012). Later, he also played a role in Neighbors (2014), Disney Grandpa (2016), and the P.T Barnum biopic ‘The Greatest Showman (2017).
Zac Efron, Actor and singer, was born in San Luis Obispo, California, on October 18, 1987. His father, David was an electrical engineer, and his mother, Starla, was an administrative assistant.
They had met while working on the same nuclear power plant. They were settled in Arroyo Grande, California to raise Zac and his brother, Dylan.
When he was 11, his piano teacher recognized his talent and encouraged him to pursue the theatrical roles at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. His roles encouraged him for acting. And his continued performances in other local productions made him familiar to the talent agent.
Soon, Efron made a trip to Los Angeles for the audition while he was attending the Arroyo Grande High School.
He made his first appearance in television on the short-lived series ‘Firefly’ in 2002. In 2003, he played the guest role on ‘ER’ and the role of the pilot in ‘The Big Wide World of Carl Laemke’.
